Car park bookings in one calendar
An automation for an airport car park

The four decisions it rests on
A separate parser for each source. You cannot write one that understands every format — and trying ends in data quietly going missing.
Duplicates recognised by registration number and time, not by email address. The same person books from different inboxes.
A label instead of the “read” status. Processed messages get their own label, so opening an email by hand breaks nothing.
An alert instead of a silent failure. When the system does not understand something, it sends a notification — instead of guessing.
